Our judges liked it in terms of animation and technical skills. The project included animated backdrops, ghosts, cloud high-score and the use of 'define function' blocks, showing a strong understanding of Scratch commands and controls. The moving platform was a nice feature, though sometimes the character passed through it. Overall, it was a tough call between this project and the 1st runner-up when deciding the champion.
Muhammad Khalid Al-Walid Bin Zaidi
Our judges liked it in terms of creativity and educational value. The student created four different STEM-themed games, which is a bonus. The sound effects are good, though some parts had bugs that made the animations a bit jumpy and judge stucked moving. Overall, a very creative effort with strong potential
Ang Jie Li
Our judges liked it in terms of message and gameplay. The Road Safety Crossing game teaches players the importance of waiting for the right moment to cross, reminding us that accidents can happen if we're not paying attention. The added animations of the player moving are a nice bonus, making the game more lively while delivering a strong road safety message
